Ying-Yang Meterpsychosia

from the darkness
to the bright
from the ebon
to the white
from the morning
to the night
from the smiling
to the trite
from the grinning
to the fright
from the growling
to the spite
from the snarling
to the bite
from the never
to the might

Marshal

                                          She was more than I could handle . . . .       2005
the carousel

the merry-go-round we liked to ride
we thought would never end
and every cent of money
was made for us to spend
the Hollywood bonanza
we tried in vain to find
was only made of heartaches
and the audience was blind
the streets rolled up at midnight
there was no place to go
all our fans deserted us
before the final show
we rode the flying carpet
until the sky gave out
ttroubles were impossible
we had no fear or doubt
but the taxman was behind us
with his ledger book of time
marking down our debits
in a silent pantomime
everything we touched was sweet
so like the morning dew
but it was a broken mirror
we didn't have a clue.
