Bear

Fur of chestnut, red of nose,
his tongue as pink,
as some young rose,
whuffing, snuffing, as he goes,
having dogdreams, in repose,
his ears are velvet,
soft and fine, their smoothness
seems almost divine,
his muscles ripple,
serpentine, with melting eyes
like amber wine,
this faithful dog,
our pride and joy,
strong and handsome,
big bearboy.
