the genii

the genii lives, they say,
inside a bottle
corked in , full and tight
if someone pulls the cork
the genii comes out
to grant the wildest wish;
and then, there are those
who say that when the genii is free,
he who pulled the cork
becomes the inhabitant,
the slave of the bottle
and only Kismet can release the spell ,
and the view from inside the bottle
is blurred by sadness and anger
and memory fades
but the need to remain inside the bottle
is greater than the desire to be out.
