The missing glove
Here lies now that righthand glove
That I wanted so much that wintery night
In freezing February,
I wanted it so much that icy night
When after work I had to scrape
My windshield clean,
I searched and cursed and wondered
Where I could have left it,
And now like some solitary spring flower
It appears , and now the left is gone.
I wonder if it will return some day
When I've thrown away this glove
I only thought was missing.
