coastal viewpoint

a still and silent night
unbroke except
by passing winds. . .

those quiet evening zephyrs
visit with their
scent of salinity. . .

no cloud, no moon
nor any evening star
would dare to penetrate
this solemn dome of blue. . .

the trees, gone black
try to imitate
the coming dark of night
