Espana

overwhelmingly vast,
the Andulusian sky is
punctuated by dotted rows
of gnarly olive trees,
like khakicolored tents
of some invading hoste;
and winding snakishly
through groves of vineyards
are the rockstrewn furrows
that so mystified the
near sighted Van Gogh
as he staggered under
the broiling sun
with his bright colors
and dark thoughts,
and now its still
a land of wonder
and still a land to wander.
