East Texas Haikus

flowers in a row
colors of my ancient soul
similar in like
. . . . .
birdcalls of morning
you must listen to hear them
busy folks are deaf
. . . . .
white cumulus clouds
summer afternoon display
towering columns
. . . . .
egrets of evening
flying their family vees
studying the sun
. . . . .
the chameleon
remembers past lives of warmth
in the blazing sun
. . . . .
the colorist sits
and sees it all moving through
his shining image
. . . . .
