red sky at night a sailors delight

tequila sailors on the wind
tossed their cares aloft
rode the heavy windward tack
feeling mellow, feeling soft. . .
tequila sailors couldn't lose
the breeze was in their souls
the sailboat swims and hums
how she rocks, how she rolls. . .
the rosy moon was full and round
emitting eerie light
lightning flashing in the west
brought a storm of fearsome might. . .
the sailors worked the pitching boat
and rode the weather rail
the mate she held the tiller
the captain took in sail. ..
the raging wind and whitecaps
seemed to rule the night
but sturdy sailors often turn
the wrong into the right. . .
