black andyellow pokkadotbikini
wild-eyed woman
you're so fine
got a mouth
like warm red wine
have you got
a female fear
or do you freak
because i'm near?
hair so curly
hair so brown
speed me up
slow me down
take my hand
take my arm
could you think
i might be harm?
forget the past
we are the now
have no worries
i'll show you how
share your heart
it will not break
its good to give
its good to take

Friends
. . . a friend who is far away is sometimes
much nearer than one who is at hand.
Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring
and more clearly visible to one who is
passing through the valley than to those
who inhabit the mountain?
Khalil Gibran

Taking time
time for travel
in your own way
time to simply
sit and stay. . .
time to wonder
what things mean
time to view
a peacefull scene. . .
time to measure
all your art
time to search
your open heart . . .
time to live
a larger life
time to lose
your riddled strife . . .

February skies
took to the country
for a wintery ride
in search of a vision
to show me my pride
somehow i lost it
when my warpony shied
i strived to hang on
but all that i tried
rolled to the bottom
in a heart breaking slide. . .
hither and yon
is a sad place to look
like finding a song
in an old tattered book
or honor and trust
in a sneak or a crook. . .

Trance
going under is a place.
where you avoid the human race,
just below that earthly tide
lies a current far and wide,
it moves to left, it moves to right,
it moves by day, it moves by night,
it buoys you up, it lets you down,
you sink ,but know, you will not drown,
inside the deep and lovely blue
amid the colors, every hue,
you take yourself away by choice'
and only hear your inner voice.

I seen you . . . (blues song)
i seen you, oh, yeah, i seen you,
standing on the coh'ner
looking all aroun',
waitin' fo'a catman
to take you out uptown. . .
i seen you, oh, yeah, i seen you,
unde'neath the lightpole
in yo' high heel slipper shoes,
fo'gettin' all yo' prolems
you got nothin' else to lose . . .
i seen you, oh, yeah, i seen you,
dressed up to the nines
in yo' silky satin dress,
lookin' fo' a richman
you think you might impress . . .
i seen you, oh, yeah, i seen you,
sittin' in the cafe
at a table in the back,
drinkin' sneaky pete
from a bottle in a sack . . .
i seen you, oh, yeah, i seen you,
rubbin' up against him
whisprin' in his ear,
sayin', "I'm so lonsome,
will you take me outta here?". . .
i seen you, oh, yeah, i seen you,
cryin' on yo' pillow
on those lonely, rainy nights,
wishin' for those times
when ever'thing was right. . .
