retrospect is good for some
and not enough for others
some might swear you to their blood
and say they are your brothers

then you know your only hope
is to keep on in the shortrows
nor e'en any stretch of luck
can keep away the raincrows

then again you never know
which way must be the closest
even when you break the tape
you may not win the contest
