Moonlight ponies

moonlight ponies
blue and gray
lost in clouds
yet know the way
trotting into
cold tomorrow
they have no time
for joy or sorrow

moonlight ponies
run together
they lope along
with ne'er a tether
snorting nostrils
wide with needing
ears laid back
they run unheeding

moonlight ponies
stampede through dust
hooves that pound
in thun'drous lust
away they all
they care not why
run they must
they do or die

Syd is a cool cat

The helpless moratorium

she pulled down the shades
on the window of my life
she excised my heart
with a rusty-bladed knife

she told me that i moved her
in a wilder sort of way
and i never would be sorry
if i let her in to play

she said that she could take me
from this dinky little town
to a better place tomorrow
where no ones ever down

now i ain't got nothin' left
my futures lookin' black
those awful, lonely cryin' blues
are hangin' on my back

what made me ever listen to
all that honey talk
mighta coulda shoulda known
can't build a house with chalk

A snadge of Fermin

Fermin live in close family groups called snadges. Hoofed
animals that eat only nectar and ants which they suck in
through a long and tapered snout called a fernisher. They
are commonly found on the East coast of Goonaralia. Their
only predator is the Varigated Trapgnorts.
