colors slide
and seem to swirl
or saturate anew

a striking wonder
rainbow sky
of contrast much askew

autumn colors
rolled in riot
of such a luscious hue

then the night
will reign sublime
and promises are due

from gumption into glory
sometimes in a smother
words and phrases
tied together
connected by
an unseen tether
and on we prowl
into the dark
wherin is hid
that magic spark . . .
